Grace Covenant Child Development Center (GCCDC)

Our Mission, Philosophy & Ministry

Core Mission

At GCCDC, our goal is not only to provide high-quality care and education that prepares kids for school, but to nurture spiritual formation in every child and to support families in raising children grounded in faith. We do this in partnership with Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, which founded GCCDC in 2003. GCCDC is not simply a childcare center that happens to meet in a church—it is a ministry of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church. Together, we are planting seeds of faith, building bridges of love, and offering glimpses of God in the lives of every child, family, and staff member we serve.

Faith Formation

1. Weekly Chapel led by Revs. Joanna and Calvin Sydnor—children hear Scripture and experience church as joyful and welcoming.

2. Music with Mr. Martin, the Church’s Music Director—songs that plant seeds of faith through melody and rhythm.

3. Prayer before meals—teaching gratitude and simple, meaningful conversation with God.

4. Relationships of love and kindness among staff, kids, and families—modeling how to love and care for one another.

5. Church members volunteer weekly to read stories, creating a visible, loving bridge between church and school.

6. Revs. Joanna and Calvin are available for prayer and pastoral care for all staff; the GCPC Prayer Team and whole congregation pray for GCCDC staff, families, and kids every week.

Education & Curriculum

Powered by Streamin³, we deliver play-rich, data-informed learning across five domains ( Approaches to learning, Social-Emotional, Language & Literacy, Cognitive, and Physical) and Core Skills (Relate, Regulate, Communicate, Think, and Move) that are age-adapted from Infancy to Pre-k.

Family Partnership

We lovingly accept all students regardless of religious preference, nationality, race, ethnicity, or gender.

Make it stand out.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
